EPISODE 16 THE CREATOR'S DESIGN FOR MAN
You were created with a design in the mind of your Creator.
Your spiritual design is a work of your Creator.
Nicodemus was a member of the Sanhedrin, the Jewish ruling class. The Sanhedrin was opposed to Jesus. Nicodemus came to Jesus under the cover of night and said, “No one could perform the miraculous signs you are doing if God were not with him.”
Jesus replied, “I tell you the truth, no one can see the kingdom of God unless he is born again.”
“How can a man be born when he is old?” Nicodemus asked. “Surely he cannot enter a second time into his mother’s womb to be born!”
Jesus answered, “Flesh gives birth to flesh, but the Spirit gives birth to spirit.
Flesh to flesh is the only life form in nature. Flesh is temporary. It follows its own human nature. It is opposed to God. It ignores and rebels against God. Flesh ends in death. There is a second life form. God gives birth to spirit. Spirit is eternal. It follows God’s ways. God is Spirit and communicates with our spirit. He works in us to change us and change the world around us. These are the two life forms.
When Jesus said, “You must be born again,” and added; “Flesh gives birth to flesh but the Spirit gives birth to spirit,” Jesus was describing not one, but two life forms. That is biology from our Creator.
Biblical physics begins with two principles: Love the Lord your God and love your neighbor as yourself. All of the Bible’s teachings come under these two principles. Loving God and loving all the people He has created. As we read or listen to the Bible. God’s Word plants the seeds of his attitudes into our mind and spirit. The entire Bible teaches of God’s love. It’s a growing experience for each of us as we learn to become more like God’s Son.
Biblical chemistry is expressed in Jesus’ word picture, “I am the vine and you are the branches. God’s Spirit flows from the vine into the branches to produce the Fruits of the Spirit. The fruits of God’s Spirit within us are love, joy, peace and patience. The world sees our love in acts of kindness, joy in goodness and an active concern for others, peace in faithfulness to God and others, and patience expressed in gentleness and self-control.
When Jesus took our sins on himself, he paid the price of our forgiveness. He cleansed us, so we can receive his Spirit within us.
Biblical physics comes from reading God’s Word, from pastors who fully believe and teach God’s Word (avoid false teachers who exclude or add to the Bible) and from relationships with other believers.
The chemistry is produced as the Spirit applies God’s Word to our spirit. As our attitudes and actions are changed, we are changed. God Word says, “You are a new creation, the old has passed away, the new has come.”
Peter explained it to the festival crowd that had come to the annual Passover celebration. Jews had attended from many different countries, the miracle was they each were hearing the message in their own language. Peter said, “Let all Israel be assured of this: God has made this Jesus, whom you crucified, both Lord and Messiah.” When the people heard this, they were cut to the heart and said to Peter and the other apostles, “Brothers, what shall we do?”
Peter replied, “Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. And you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.” God has made it very easy. He did the work. We can’t earn it, we receive it as a gift. We demonstrate that we have received the gift of his Spirit by applying the physics of his word. In return the Spirit works a miracle of change in our values and life.
Paul said to the Romans, “Those who live according to the flesh have their minds set on what the flesh desires; but those who live in accordance with the Spirit have their minds set on what the Spirit desires. The mind governed by the flesh is death, but the mind governed by the Spirit is life and peace.” Romans 8:5-6 Our nature wants to rebel against God. But your mind and heart ask, why would you fight against your Creator? Ask for forgiveness, every sin will be forgiven. Ask God to fill you with His Spirit. You will become the Creator’s “new creation.” Reading the book of John in the Bible is a good way to begin.
The Creator of science designed the fields of biology, physics and chemistry. He has followed the same design in the Science of a fulfilled life.
